Fellow Bereans,
Thank you again for your continued prayers, support, suggestions, and song submissions. This website would not exist in its current form without your dedication to assist, correct, and pray for me and this ministry. I owe you an incredible debt of gratitude!
I have a few announcements before my usual polling schpeal.
First, the polling queue is overfull by a few songs. I’ve decided to close it until January 2nd, 2022. This will give me a break from maintaining song submissions for the next two months. I’m also suspending Extra Songs and new artist-submitted songs until 2022.
Second, we’ve filled all the spots for the 2021 Christmas polls! Thank you everyone who submitted songs throughout the past year.
Third, as in previous years, I plan to do a Thanksgiving song review for November 24th. Please pray with me as I choose the right song to review for 2021.
Fourth, in anticipation of upcoming reviews, I added entries to the Resources page for Community Music, Lakewood Church, Planetboom, and Planetshakers. If you have any resources to suggest, feel free to contact me with web pages with balanced content.
Finally, I expanded the Song Review Index page to include a new column: “Corporate Worship?”. There are three ratings offered: Yes, Perhaps, and No. “Yes” and “No” are self-explanatory. “Perhaps” can be many things, including yes with modification, yes for seeker-sensitive, and yes for not seeker-sensitive, among other things. Thanks to Nathan Boyd’s comment on Phil Wickam’s Battle Belongs that inspired this change!
Side Note: I’ll also work on the Christmas version and will release it unannounced.
With that, onto my usual drab, yet somewhat modified canned polling language full of terrible victory puns.
Thank you for voting on my third November 2021 poll!
Cody Carnes & Brandon Lake’s Too Good To Not Believe knocked it out of the park, while Hezekiah Walker’s Every Praise dove forward to secure second place.
This post contains two Christmas polls with eight songs apiece. Vote for up to three songs per poll. I will review the top two voted songs on each poll. Ties will be broken based on earliest submission.
These polls will close at the end of November 6th, 2021. If you don’t like these picks, you have an entire year to submit Christmas songs for 2022!
