Gateway Worship is an American worship band.  Following the structural trend of Hillsong, Elevation, and Bethel, it is a church-led band hailing from Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas.

Their discography is massive.

Lyrics are at https://genius.com/Gateway-worship-crowns-down-live-lyrics.

1. What message does the song communicate?

God is:

  • Filled with glory
  • Savior
  • King
  • Loving
  • Kind
  • Welcomes the undeserving
  • Holy

In response, Gateway Worship yields to God.

Side Note: To those annoyed by massive repetition, Bridge essentially repeats the same two lines four times in a row.  Also, Outro’s first 8 lines is also quite repetitive.

Score: 10/10

2. How much of the lyrics line up with Scripture?

How much of these lyrics don’t line up with Scripture?  None that I can see.

[Intro]

Line 1: Hello Casper the friendly ghost!  Lovely to see your presence marinating the song’s introduction!
