Sovereign Grace Music, much like Hillsong, Bethel, or Elevation Worship, is a church-lead worship band that released music. Hailing from Louisville, Kentucky, Sovereign Grace Music has been active since 1984. They released a jaw-dropping 51 albums, too many than I would care to list.

1. What message does the song communicate?
God is awesome! His salvation through the cross drives us to follow Jesus, proclaiming His fame to the masses to the point of death. We counted the cost. We know it might kill us. Yet, we must tell others about Jesus, furthering His Kingdom that we pray will come.
We ask for God’s power and courage to tell others, perform signs and wonders, and engage with unbelievers so that they might follow Him as we do.
Score: 10/10
2. How much of the lyrics line up with Scripture?
The entire song agrees with Scripture.

[Verse 1]
Your glorious cause, O God, engages our hearts
May Jesus Christ be known, wherever we are
We ask not for ourselves, but for Your renown
The cross has saved us so we pray
Your kingdom come
Christ’s loving sacrifice on the cross (John 3:16 and Romans 5:6-8) compels us to follow Him, that we love as He loved us (1 John 4:19), spreading His Gospel of the Kingdom of God (Matthew 4:23, Matthew 9:35, Matthew 24:14, Mark 1:14-15, Luke 4:43, and Luke 16:16) so that others could become His disciples (Matthew 28:18-20). Sovereign Grace Music does this to bring glory to God (1 Corinthians 10:31, Colossians 3:17-23, and 1 Peter 4:11).
[Chorus]
Let Your kingdom come, let Your will be done
Part of the LORD’s prayer in Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:1-4.
So that everyone might know Your name
See commentary on Verse 1 regarding spreading God’s fame.
Let Your song be heard everywhere on earth
Till Your sovereign work on earth is done
That is, let us talk of God’s fame until He returns (Matthew 24:43, Acts 1:9-11, 1 Corinthians 11:26, 1 Thessalonians 5:2-4, 2 Peter 3:10, and Revelation 16:15).
Let Your kingdom come
Repeats first half of line 1.
NOTE: Variants of Chorus add or subtract nothing from this assessment or equivalent language in other sections.
[Verse 2]
Give us Your strength, O God, and courage to speak
Perform Your wondrous deeds, through those who are weak
Sovereign Grace Music asks God for strength in their weakness (Nehemiah 8:10, Psalm 22:19, Psalm 28:7-8, Psalm 46:1, Psalm 118:14, Isaiah 12:2, Isaiah 33:2, Isaiah 40:29-31, Habakkuk 3:19, 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, Ephesians 3:16, Ephesians 6:10, and Philippians 4:13).
Lord, use us as You want, whatever the test
By grace, we’ll preach Your gospel
Till our dying breath
Sovereign Grace Music surrenders to God (Isaiah 64:8, Matthew 10:38, Matthew 11:28-30, Matthew 16:24, Mark 8:34-38, Mark 10:28, Luke 9:23, Luke 14:27, John 15:1-11, Romans 6:13, Romans 12:1-2, Galatians 2:20, Philippians 2:5-8, Hebrews 11:6, James 4:7-10, and 1 Peter 5:6), understanding that following Jesus and preaching the Gospel will cost them their lives (Luke 14:25-34).
Score: 10/10
3. How would an outsider interpret the song?
Those outside the camp of Christ will know that Christians believe Jesus died for us and will tell others about it. The cross, the name “Jesus Christ”, and the Kingdom Come are hallmarks of Christianity, easily lending to a Christian worldview interpretation. I can’t think of a single thing that unbelievers may misunderstand.
Score: 10/10
4. What does this song glorify?
It glorifies God when His Followers preach the Gospel, obeying His Great Commission.
Score: 10/10
Closing Comments
Sovereign Grace Music’s Let Your Kingdom Come is an excellent song. It touches on Christ’s sacrifice that compels us to receive His salvation and spreading Jesus to others, hoping that they will join us. This brings glory to God. Unbelievers will have little trouble interpreting this song.
I highly recommend this for corporate worship.
